AFCEA Energy IT Symposium: Enterprise Transformation and Beyond

Online registration is now closed. You can register on site at The Hamilton Live in Washington, DC starting at 7:30 AM on Wednesday, June 26, 2013.

The Department of Energy (DOE) is to ensure America’s security and prosperity by addressing its energy, environmental and nuclear challenges through transformative science and technology solutions. To innovatively support the mission elements of 120,000 employees and 85 facilities, the Department’s IT Modernization Strategy outlines how Energy is effecting meaningful change within Federal information technology (IT) environment as one of the foundations for management and operational excellence.

At the heart of the strategy to transform, protect and advance Energy’s mission through technology, the RightPath framework holds the collaborative approach to providing IT services in a way the mission elements need. This effort leverages cloud computing, mobility, and big data. The strategy moves beyond RightPath to embrace a world-class IT governance structure, eliminate duplication, and install cybersecurity as a foundational element of the DOE’s mission from incident mitigation and response to better training and engaging the best of government, industry and academia.

Join AFCEA Energy Chapter for its third annual Information Technology (IT) Symposium “Enterprise Transformation and Beyond” to be held June 26, 2013, at the Hamilton Live in Washington, D.C. The event will bring together 150 senior government executives, IT and security professionals, cloud, big data and mobile thought-leaders from across the federal government and industry to foster better inter-agency communication, share lessons learned and best practices, spotlight programs and emerging technologies, and build private/public partnerships to support the global energy economy and national security mission.
