Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery(BCDR) Activation Day

We’re excited to invite you to our upcoming Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BCDR) Activation Day, a hands-on virtual experience designed to help you get even more resilient on Microsoft Azure.

In this 90-minute virtual hands-on workshop, you’ll work directly in your own Azure subscription to validate and improve recovery capabilities using services such as Azure Site Recovery (test failover), Azure Backup & Backup Center, Azure SQL Database geo-replication, and Azure Storage data resiliency features (Blob soft delete, versioning, and immutability). We’ll also cover how to monitor and govern recovery readiness so teams can respond confidently when incidents occur.

Why This Matters
Outages happen—whether from regional failures, misconfigurations, cyber incidents, or planned maintenance. For many SMBs, just one hour of downtime can cost $1,000–$5,000, with unplanned outages often lasting 90 minutes or more. This session will show you how to use Azure’s resiliency features to minimize downtime and recover critical workloads quickly and reliably.  A well-designed Business Continuity/Disaster Recovery (BCDR) strategy helps you keep critical workloads running, protect data, and recover quickly with predictable outcomes and clear operational processes.

Attending this session will give you an overview of:

  • Azure Site Recovery (ASR) Test Failover: run a non-disruptive test failover to validate recovery steps, network mappings, and application readiness—without impacting production.
  • Azure SQL Database Geo-replication: configure and review cross-region replication options to improve database availability and support fast recovery during a regional outage.
  • Azure Backup & Backup Center: set up policy-based backups, understand retention/restore points, and use Backup Center to centralize visibility and restore operations across workloads.
  • Data resiliency for Azure Storage: apply Blob Soft Delete, Versioning, and Immutability to reduce accidental deletion/overwrite risk and strengthen protection against malicious changes.
  • Monitor & Govern: establish alerts and dashboards for backup/replication health, track compliance with recovery objectives, and document ownership so recovery actions are clear when incidents occur.

And the best part is you will be doing this live in your Azure Environment during the session.

Hands-on: Attendees will perform all steps live in their own subscription
