Program Protection Planning Summit & Workshop
The NDIA Systems Security Engineering (SSE) Committee is hosting a Program Protection Planning (PPP) Summit/Workshop May 19 - 22 in McLean, VA. Through collaborative efforts between industry and government, we are working to develop an integrated and holistic approach to program protection to balance and manage the risks in a way that is cost affordable and commensurate with the level of criticality. Many challenges exist as we work to integrate the PPP disciplines: anti-tamper (AT), supply chain risk management (SCRM), software assurance (SwA), operations security (OPSEC), SSE, and information assurance (IA). Together we are addressing challenges such as taxonomy and metrics. These become important as we communicate with our customers and suppliers through acquisition language and guidance to ensure we have a common understanding of requirements and have methods and means to proving the requirements are being met.
This year's format is a blend of a summit and workshop. We start with a tutorial session on Monday, Tuesday we will engage with VP and Senior Executives from government, industry, and the services, and follow with a workshop on Wednesday and Thursday. Please see the agenda for details. Attendance is limited to approximately 200 so please register early! There is no cost for attendance.
