Expeditionary Operations Summit



Leaders from the Military, Industry, and Academic Communities will convene February 15- 16, 2012 at the Council on Foreign Relations Building in Washington, DC to discuss and debate the current roadmap for Expeditionary Warfare. The educational and training Summit, hosted by Defense Strategies Institute and benefiting the 501c3 nonprofit Wounded Warrior Project, is designed as a full spectrum viewpoint, and actionable takeaways and "next-steps" will drive the discussions.

The Summit will address key concerns of the community including but not limited to:
-Strategic choices about force structure post-OEF and OIF Joint operational access requirements

- Changes to the way naval forces respond to crisis from the sea

-The role of seabasing Alignment of naval visions for littoral power projection

- Future cooperative opportunities for the integration of Joint capabilities (including SOF) with naval power projection capabilities

- Findings of the Amphibious Capabilities Working Group Mine warfare and maneuverability in contested environments
-MCCDC will also be offering an exclusive preview of their Expeditionary Warrior 2012 Wargame: "Challenges and Opportunities in a Sea-Based Expeditionary Force’s Ability to Respond to Crisis and Gain Operational Access"
