Scalable Cyber: Tools for Small and Emerging Government Contractors to Use in Adjusting to New Realities of Cybersecurity
A panel of executives from small and former small businesses will discuss practical strategies in preparing for and thriving in a government contracting environment increasingly focused on the ability to provide cybersecurity-related services, and also assure appropriate security safeguards have been implemented internally. We will cover:
- Negotiating flowdown obligations under the DoD's new Network Penetration Reporting Rules, which require reporting of a cyber incident affects by covered defense information within 72 hours.
- Discussing marketing strategies for small businesses that want to become more involvement in the government's cyber space.
- Implementing scalable controls and technical solutions to ensure that a small business has a strong foundation for growing its cyber capabilities as it continues to have success in working with government customers and higher-tier subcontractors.
