LabTech 2013 Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory

The Berkeley National Lab Information Technology Division will host the 2nd Annual LabTech on Thursday, September 4, 2013. LabTech is a free event created by and for Lab staff that focuses on computing and technology for science and operations. Modeled after UC San Diego's immensely popular Sharecase event, LabTech will feature technical tutorials, discussion sessions, networking opportunities, demonstrations, exhibits and more. LabTech will be a multi-track conference, with tracks aimed at scientists, technologists, and support staff.

This year LabTech will also include an Exhibit Hall. This will be an excellent opportunity to network with Berkeley Lab employees. Over 300 employees attended LabTech 2012.

Information Technology Division: The Information Technology (IT) Division supports Berkeley Lab's scientific mission by developing and maintaining the Lab's computing, information, and communications infrastructure. This infrastructure includes networking and telecommunications; desktop computing support; information systems for management, scientific clusters, technical information and computer security.

The Information Technology Division also plays the role of supporting and securing the Lab’s scientific and business operations computing platforms and its data, information and telecommunications infrastructure.
