BOSH Global Services Raises Over $21,000 for Wounded Veterans

Newport News, VA - BOSH Global Services (BOSH) is proud to announce another successful fundraiser for wounded warriors. For the third year in a row, BOSH held its annual barbecue lunch fundraiser, on October 4, 2013, raising a total of  $21,234 for the Wounded Warrior Project and the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program.

"The outpouring of support that we received from our friends in the community was staggering," said BOSH employee Josie Pearson, who led the fundraising effort.  "Volunteers kept stepping forward, local businesses displayed posters or donated proceeds, and the contributions just kept coming in, even for days after the barbecue."

"Our humble thanks for the generosity of time, talent and treasure by our many friends, colleagues, business partners, sponsors, employees and volunteers, including our local military personnel in uniform, who came out in full force to support their wounded comrades. The fundraiser was a successful and inspiring event due to your sacrificial efforts," said Shelly Fitzgerald, Executive Vice President at BOSH.  "We surpassed our $10,000 goal, and we never could have done it without their help.  BOSH sends a huge and emphatic 'thank you' to all who contributed and participated."

Funds raised by the event will support the many recovery programs that Wounded Warrior Project and the Virginia Wounded Warrior Program operate.  These non-profit organizations aid and assist wounded U.S. service members as they recover both mentally and physically.  For more information visit www.woundedwarriorproject.org  and www.wearevirginiaveterans.org.
